Lalita Sahasranamam Stotram Lyrics
Sage Agastya was initiated into these names by Lord Hayagriva. There are 84 Shlokas verses in the Brahmanda Purana which speaks about the benefits of reciting Lalita Sahasranamam, as expounded by Lord Hayagriva. Lord Hayagriva Today,we have access to Lalita Sahasranamam only because Veda Vyasa the compiler of Vedas propagated and conveyed it to humanity. One gets the benefit of establishing 1 crore Shiva Lingas. One gets the benefit of feeding 1 crore Brahmins during a time of famine. One gets the benefit of teaching 1 crore students. Fever shall vanish if you touch your head and recite these names.
Story of the Lalitha Sahasranama: This stotra hymn which praises occurs in Brahmanda purana and discussion between Hayagreeva and Agasthya. Lord Shiva married Sati Devi who was the daughter of Daksha. Paramashiva was not invited for the great sacrified organised and conducted by Daksh but Sati wanted to go and attended the function. Sati ended her life by jumping into the fire as her lord was insulted.
